Example of Speaker Resources

In this example, two speaker groups have been set up and labeled as SPKER1 and SPKER2. For each speaker group, evaluation criteria have been set up to record the ratings and any text comments. The evaluation criteria include Speaker's Knowledge, Speaker's Style, Quality of Presentation, Handout Materials, and Overall Rating. These criteria use the Quantity option under Field 1 Usage to allow entering averages with two decimal places. We chose Text under Field 2 Usage so we could enter comments for the criteria ratings. These criteria link to their common group, but each criterion has a unique code.

The final category, Overall Rating, records our calculated average of the speaker's ratings. In our previous example ("To set up a speaker activity type"), we entered Overall Rating as the prompt that displays on the Activity Detail window for the Qty/CEU field. Because this record contains the word "overall," its rating will be placed in the Qty/CEU field of the activity record so it can be used for analysis.
