Creating Components

The first step in creating a certification program is to define the components required for program completion. You can clone or copy components and use them in other programs.

A component is anything that is required of a student to complete a certification program. Usually, this is an event, such as a class, seminar, or exam; however, components can be other types of requirements, such as enrollment or application fees, applications, resumes, or letters of recommendation.

In the exercises throughout this section, you will create components for the CMAS program. These components include the courses described in the previous section, fees, application forms, and other components.

Components are defined on the Set up components window. In this window, specify components and component information, such as categories, dates, and accounting information.
