Defining a query in IQA is similar to writing an SQL statement. The difference is that the expressions you create to extract data from the database are based on business objects or existing queries, instead of tables.
IQA is designed to provide the maximum flexibility for defining queries. Because of that flexibility, you should check your resulting SQL expressions for validity: In Advanced mode, view the SQL statement for your query at the bottom of the Summary page.
To save a valid query, you must select at least one source and at least one column, and, if you select more than one source, the relationship between them. In most cases, a default relationship is inherited from your sources; you can override the default.
Users can access IQA from the iMIS Home page, a personal folder, or from the Generate reports page within a module. Administrators can access IQA from the iFC.
