Assigning Status Codes to Products

You can assign status codes to your products that provide additional flexibility for managing, maintaining, and controlling your products and product availability. In addition, Upsell/Cross-sell/Replacement product functionality is dependent on the status codes you define for your products.

When you save an order, iMIS verifies each ordered product's status and available inventory to ensure fulfillment of the order. Only orders for products with an Active status (or an Out of Production status with sufficient inventory) can be saved.

The default status for all new products is Active, and you can assign the following status codes to your products at any time during a product's life cycle:
