To enable Duplicate Registration/Registrant checking

The Enable Duplicate Registration/Registrant checking option on the Event System Preferences window (from Events, select Set up module, and click Preferences) turns on duplicate checking for registrants. It may be useful if you routinely register customers who do not have records in the customer database. When this option is enabled and a suspected duplicate registrant is entered, a message appears on the Register a customer window stating that the customer is already registered for the event.

  1. From Events, select Set up module to open the Set up module window.
  2. Click Preferences to open the Event System Preferences window.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Enable the Enable Duplicate Registration/Registrant checking option.
  5. Click Save.
