Defining Product Account Information

iMIS Orders allows you to define specific account numbers for products on the Accounting window. The accounts defined on the Accounting window are used for recording credits and debits for products when orders are invoiced and inventory adjustments are posted.

Accounts can be defined for products at several levels, and which accounts are used depend on product account hierarchy. Accounts defined for a product on the Accounting window may not be used. See Understanding Product Account Hierarchy for additional information.

Before you can define accounts for products, you first must define the individual accounts. Individual accounts are defined on the GL_ACCOUNT table through the Set up general lookup/validation window (from Customers, select Set up tables > General lookup/validation).
