Accumail Upgrades
Upgrading Accumail on a Network
Note: Perform the installation from a workstation. Do not install directly from the server.
Note: This installation is performed during initial implementation and each time a new CD is received.
- Insert the Accumail CD in a workstation's CD drive and insert the Accumail LAN Install Disk in the workstation's diskette drive.
- Select Start> Run.
- Enter D:\Setup (where D: is your CD drive). Select OK.
- The Welcome screen appears. Select Next.
- The Network Installation Option screen appears. To install to a network drive for multiple users, select Yes. Select Next.
- The Choose Destination Location screen appears. Enter the path to the Accumail LAN Install Disk. Select Next.
- Select I accept the terms of the license agreement. Select Next.
- Enter the User Name, Company Name, and select Anyone who uses this computer (all users). Select Next.
- Browse to the configured (or pre-existing) Accumail installation path. Select Next.
- The Typical installation will provide a complete installation. Select Typical and select Next.
- The Start Installation screen shows all options previously chosen. Select Next.
- The Installing screen will appear. No action is required.
- You will be prompted to answer the question "Would you like the installer to place a shortcut on your Desktop?" You may answer Yes or No depending on your preference.
- When the InstallShield Wizard Complete screen appears, select Finish.
Upgrading Accumail Locally
These instructions are for a standalone instance of iMIS with Accumail.
- Insert the Accumail CD in a workstation's CD drive and insert the Accumail LAN Install Disk in the workstation's diskette drive.
- Select Start> Run.
- Enter D:\Setup (where D: is your CD drive.) Select OK.
- The Welcome screen appears. Select Next.
- The Network Installation Option screen appears. To install for a single user, select No and select Next.
- Select I accept the terms of the license agreement. Select Next.
- Enter the User Name, Company Name, and select Anyone who uses this computer (all users). Select Next.
- Browse to the configured (or pre-existing) Accumail installation path. Select Next.
- The Typical installation will provide a complete installation. Select Typical and select Next.
- The Start Installation screen appears. This is a review of options previously chosen. Select Next.
- The Installing screen will appear. No action is required.
- You will be prompted to answer the question "Would you like the installer to place a shortcut on your Desktop?" You may answer Yes or No depending on your preference.
- When the InstallShield Wizard Complete screen appears, select Finish.
Updating an existing Accumail installation
If you update Accumail from the same workstation, you will be prompted to install new or modify and existing installation.
Caution! Perform the installation from a workstation. Do not install directly from the server.
- Insert the Accumail CD in a workstation's CD drive and insert the Accumail LAN Install Disk in the workstation's diskette drive.
- Click Start > Run
- Enter D:\Setup (where D is your CD drive.) Click OK.
- Select Maintain or Update the instance of this application selected below. Click Next.
- Select Update / Repair. Click Next.
- Click Finish.
