A third address line has been added throughout iMIS to support the longer addresses that are common in some countries. The standard iMIS full address now comprises the following fields:

Impact on iMIS upgrades
A new installation of iMIS contains predefined country address formats that include the Address 3 field. When upgrading to iMIS 10.6 from a previous release, you can update your country address formats by selecting the Update address label format? checkbox on the Database Setup for iMIS dialog, but it is very important to first consider the following issues:
See the Learning and Using iMIS Customer Management guide for additional information on Using International Address Formatting.

Impact on reports
All reports that query the FULL_ADDRESS value from iMIS tables are able to show the third address line in the address block. After updating your country address formats to include the Address 3 field, you must run the Run AddressUpdate script query to rebuild the FULL_ADDRESS value to incorporate the country address format changes.

Note: Predefined reports that ship with iMIS have been adjusted to fit the larger size of the address block. If you have created custom reports that use the FULL_ADDRESS value, they might need format adjustment to fit the larger size of the address block.
Impact on Accumail and QAS address verification
QuickAddress (QAS) v4 products can validate addresses that contain Address 3 data, provided that you have configured QAS to support three address lines and are using a country database that contains data for a third address line. See Implementing QAS v4 with iMIS for more information.
Accumail products ignore Address 3 data entirely, because the United States Postal Service address format does not support a third address line.
Impact on other external products
External products that can use iMIS address data, such as Communicate or iSync, are independently developed. Check with the product vendor to determine whether their product supports Address 3 data.
