Run the Rebuild search indexes procedure periodically to update it with new subscribers and to refresh the specified fields from the master file. Note that the time required to update your referrals list depends on how many records and fields are involved.
In general, be sure to update your referrals list whenever your provider data changes significantly.
Even if providers are listed, they may not be available for referrals. iMIS will check the search filter options before allowing you to select them. iMIS displays a message informing you that the provider is not eligible for reference if you select a provider who is not available for referrals.
Note: iMIS will not delete expired providers from the Ref_Provider table until their subscription to REFERRAL has been removed from their Dues/Subscription Item Detail window (from Customers, select Manage customers, find the customer record, select the Billing tab, and double-click the Referral activity). Thus, inactive providers may be listed as providers, although you cannot select them.
