Before using iMIS Service Central, you first should understand the following terms as they are used in this module.
A specialized computer program or software package that performs particular tasks. The iMIS Customer system is an application as is a word processing product, a spreadsheet package, etc.
A designated storage area in the operating system from which you can copy and paste. When you copy data in an application program, the data is written to the clipboard.
A way to join customers through the Company ID. You can flow down data (such as address, phone, etc.,) from the company ID to the customer record joined by the Company ID.
An iMIS utility used during system setup to create custom tables and windows for an association.
An interactive collection of related information that is organized into meaningful units (Files, Records, Fields, graphics, and photos) for storing and accessing.
A formula used to make sure the same record is not entered in the database twice. Duplicate record checks are often used on the Major Key field (such as Social Security Number).
A table you create in the iMIS database that contains the valid values for a given field. You can click the lookup icon to select a value or place your cursor in the field and use Ctrl+L to see the valid values.
A method for establishing a logical connection between one customer and another in the database.
A way to notify a customer that they need to take action on a given activity, such as a call. When a member logs on to iMIS, a display displays notifying them of the action needing to be taken.
