How Certification Works

The Certification module allows you to create several certification programs, each with a different set of completion criteria. For example, you can set up a simple program requiring customers to attend three of five available seminars over a specified time period, with each seminar defined as a certification component. Attendance at the seminar would be considered credit. You could also create a very complex program with 30 or 40 components and a three-year period for program completion.

An important feature of the Certification module is the ability it gives you to assign components to categories. For example, you can assign certain courses to Category A, others to Category B, and require students in a program to complete 20 hours of courses from Category A and 60 hours of courses from Category B.

Sample Program Configurations

Several standard reports help complete the certification process by informing customers of their progress or by notifying a regulatory board about customers who have successfully completed program requirements.
