The following are EXPOCAD terms. In the definitions, you are also given the Exposition Management System related term.
Event
Events are your shows. They are also the same as an exposition. The EXPOCAD event file contains all booth layout information, booth graphics, and text associated with your event. This includes the size, number, and location of each individual booth, as well as all exhibitor booth assignments.
Event Exhibitor List
This is a database of potential or actual exhibitors. This database in conjunction with the Master Exhibitor List must contain all the assigned exhibitors. If you do not use the Master Exhibitor List, you should change to the alternate database before any booth assignments are made.
Exhibitors
Exhibitors are your clients or prospects (potential clients). Exhibitors can also be companies. These files contain exhibitor information that may be used for assigning and managing your clients. The exhibitor file is associated with the iMIS Membership list, a specific event's exhibitor list, or a contact management file.
Import
This function imports booth files and exhibitor information into iMIS.
Master Exhibitor List
This is a database of potential or actual exhibitors. This database in conjunction with the Event Exhibitor List must contain all of the assigned exhibitors.
Pack
The primary function of Pack is to remove a record marked for deletion in the ExpoCadExp file. Records are marked 'Deleted' once they are successfully imported, or upon deletion from the Import Error List. Using Pack physically deletes the marked records from the file, reducing the file size.
Rent
This is the same as "assigning" exhibitors to booths in iMIS Exposition.
