New options on payment entry windows
Payment entry windows throughout iMIS now display fields for issue number and issue date information as required by the European debit card's corresponding cash account definition and card authorization account definition.

Example of new payment entry options
Conditions for display and use
When using a Debit Card cash account for payment entry, these new fields are displayed under the following conditions:
- CSC - Displayed only if the corresponding card authorization account uses the Other gateway, Deferred Authorization, and the Save CSC Prior to Authorization checkbox is selected.
- Issue # - Displayed only if the cash account has the Display Issue Number checkbox selected.
- Issue Date - Displayed only of the cash account has the Display Issue Date checkbox selected. Uses the same format as card expiration dates (mm/yy).
When using a Credit Card cash account for payment entry, these new fields are displayed under the following conditions:
- CSC - Displayed only if all of the following conditions are true:
- The corresponding iMIS module supports processing of card authorization requests through the VeriSign or QSI gateways. The only modules that support VeriSign and QSI authorization are Billing, Fund Raising, AR/Cash, and Service Central.
- The corresponding card authorization account uses the VeriSign or QSI gateway, and either Immediate Authorization or Deferred Authorization with the Save CSC Prior to Authorization checkbox selected.
- Issue # - Never displayed because issue numbers are used only on certain European debit cards.
- Issue Date - Never displayed because issue dates are used only on certain European debit cards.
Security and validation
To ensure the security of CSC information, a CSC number appears as three asterisks when the payment information is saved, regardless of the security level of the iMIS user. Issue numbers and issue dates, however, are not masked with asterisks when the payment information is saved.
Credit card payment information is validated as it has always been, but validation for European debit cards is more limited.
- No validation is performed on the European debit card number because there is no algorithm available to confirm whether the number is valid. (Only credit card numbers can be confirmed this way.)
- For both credit and European debit cards, the CSC number is validated only to ensure that it is a 3- or 4-digit value.
- No validation is performed to ensure that European debit card issue numbers or issue dates have been entered.
- As with credit card expiration dates, European debit card issue dates are checked for proper calendar format only, not for whether the date is valid or expired.
