The IQA predefined queries that are exposed to iMIS users through the Advanced Query links in iMIS modules require that iMIS users be assigned to the following iMIS Server .NET security groups:
Assigning the correct security groups to iMIS users
Whether iMIS users can see the Advanced Query links on the Home page or on the Customers, Events, and Orders tabs is dependent only on their iMIS authorization levels, not on their iMIS Server .NET security groups. However, whether users can view the rows returned by queries that reference Event, Fund Raising, or Order business objects is dependent on their iMIS Server .NET security groups.
You must therefore ensure that your iMIS Server .NET administrator assigns users to the EventUser, FRUser, and OrderUser security groups as needed.
IQA Security Report
An IQA Security Report lists all members of the security groups used for integration with iMIS (FRUser, OrderUser, and EventUser). These security groups pose special issues because they expose iMIS Server .NET business objects and queries to iMIS users who might not otherwise have access to iMIS Server .NET modules.
Run this report from:
Security tab on business objects
A Security tab is available in the Business Object window, which enables you to define granular security for specific business objects that iMIS users can access through the Advanced Query links on the Home page and in the Customers, Events, and Orders modules.
For example, you might define a query that is available to all iMIS users who have access to the Customers module, but one of the query sources might be a business object to which you have restricted access to a small group of users. The query can still be safely used by other users who do not have access to that particular business object, because the query results will not display properties from that business object to those restricted users. Similarly, if a given user has the authority to create new queries, but they are not authorized for access to a particular business object, then they will not be able to view that business object in the list of possible sources for the query.
