To install iMISFind

The current version of the iMISFind utility will need to be uninstalled prior to installing a newer version.

  1. Uninstall iMISFind.
    1. Click Start and select Settings> Control Panel.
    2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.
    3. Select iMISFind and click Add/Remove.
  2. Start the setup program for iMISFind.
    • If your local CD drive has Auto-Start enabled, insert the iMISFind CD. The Setup program starts automatically.
    • If Auto-Start is disabled on the local CD drive, use Windows Explorer to browse to the CD and double-click the Setup.exe file in the root (\) folder.
  3. A message box indicates "Copying Files, please stand by."
  4. A message box displays that welcomes you to the iMISFind Installation program and recommends that you close any applications you are running before proceeding.
  5. Click OK. If you do have other programs open, click Exit Setup, close any open applications and resume the setup.
  6. A message displays telling you that you can begin the installation by clicking the button below. The installation program prompts you to place the iMISFind program in the default location, C:\Program Files\iMISFind\, or to select another destination folder.
    1. Click the Change Directory button to specify that the iMISFind program be installed in the EXPOCAD\Program directory.
    2. Browse to the EXPOCAD\Program directory, double-click the destination directory and click OK.
  7. To begin the installation, click the button that has the computer graphic on it.
  8. A message displays telling you that setup will add items to the group shown in the Program Group box. Click Continue to create the iMISFind group. The install process begins copying the files.
  9. When the message appears telling you that the iMIS Find Setup was completed successfully, click OK.

    Note: The St6unst.log file is created as part of the installation process. This file is located in the same directory as the iMISFind.exe. Do not modify or delete this file. The St6unst.log file contains information about the installation, and it is used to automatically remove all application components when you remove the program through Start> Settings> Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs.
