To configure Issues prompts and e-mail settings

Note: After configuring any Issues prompts, be sure to view the prompts in the View and enter issues, Issue, and Resolution windows to be sure that the modified prompts display acceptably.

  1. From Issues, select Set up module to display the Set up module window.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Enter any prompts needed for the Issue window in the Issue area.

    Note: If you configure the prompts for the Company or Client ID fields on the Issue window, the same prompts are also used for the Company and Client ID fields on the View and enter issues window.

  4. Enter any prompts needed for the Resolution window in the Resolution area.
  5. Enter the e-mail profile to use when sending issue status e-mail messages in the E-mail Profile field. You can specify any existing e-mail profile on the local machine where the e-mail client is running.

    Note: The e-mail client must be MAPI-compliant (for example, Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, or Groupwise).

  6. Enter the time interval (in minutes) at which the system should check for and send any issue status e-mail messages in the Timer Interval field.

    Note: You must specify the timer interval (in minutes) for the Issue Management e-mail server or an error message displays when you select Start e-mail server from the Issues task list.

  7. Select the Require a Specific Type for Assigning Associated Issues option and select a type from the drop-down list (displays when you select the option) to require that associated issues have a specific type in order to be assigned as associated issues.
  8. Click Save.
