To create the EMAIL activity type

Sending e-mail to a customer will generate an activity record for that customer if the EMAIL activity type has been created.

  1. From Customers, select Set up module > Activity types to open the Set up activity types window.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter EMAIL in the Type field.
  4. Enter a Description for the activity.
  5. Enter a prompt for Description.
  6. Enter a prompt for Note.
  7. Enter a prompt for Source.
  8. Enter additional prompts, if needed.

    The prompts entered in the Set up activity types window dictate which fields are enabled and visible in the Activity Detail window.

  9. Click Save to update the activity type.
