You can configure several of the prompts on the View and enter issues, Issue, and Resolution windows to suit your organization's specific needs. You can also specify the e-mail profile and the time interval to use for sending issue status e-mail messages. You can configure these settings on the Issues Set up module window. You must have a Sys mgmt authorization level of two (2) or higher to configure the Issues module on the Issues Set up module window.
Set up module window
From Issues, select Set up module
Issue area
You can use the fields in this area to configure the following prompts on the Issue window:
Company
Enter the prompt name for the Company field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Company.
Note: If you configure the prompt for the Company field on the Issue window, the same prompt is also used for the Company field on the View and enter issues window.
Priority
Enter the prompt name for the Priority field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Priority.
Version
– Enter the prompt name for the Version field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Version.
Client ID
Enter the prompt name for the Client ID field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Client ID.
Note: If you configure the prompt for the Client ID field on the Issue window, the same prompt is also used for the Client ID field on the View and enter issues window.
System
Enter the prompt name for the System field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is System.
Environment
Enter the prompt name for the Environment field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Environment.
Resolution area
You can use the fields in this area to configure the following prompts on the Resolution window:
Module/Hrs
Enter the prompt name for the Modules/Hrs field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Module/Hrs.
Version
Enter the prompt name for the Version field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Version.
Dev Status
Enter the prompt name for the Dev Status field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Dev Status.
Release Notes
Enter the prompt name for the Release Notes field. If you do not specify a prompt, the default prompt is Release Notes.
E-mail Server Configuration area
This area includes the following fields:
E-mail Profile
Enter the name of the e-mail profile to use for sending issue status e-mail messages.
Note: The e-mail client must be MAPI-compliant (for example, Microsoft Outlook, Eudora, or Groupwise).
Timer Interval
Enter the time interval (in minutes) at which the system should check for and send any automatic issue status e-mail messages that need to be sent.
Note: You must specify the timer interval (in minutes) for the Issues e-mail server or an error message displays when you select Start e-mail server from the Issues task list.
Issue Options area
Require a Specific Type for Assigning Associated Issues
Enable this option to require that associated issues have a specific type in order to be assigned as associated issues. When this option is enabled, a field displays to the right of this option. Select the required type for assigning associated issues from the drop-down list.
