Designate Fund Raising information by Event function

You can now designate individual event functions as Fund Raising items. You can also designate the Fund, Appeal, Campaign, and Fair Market Value for each fund raising function in the Event Function Detail window.

Event Function Detail window - Fund Raising information

This ability has been implemented at the Event function level to give you more flexibility in defining Fund Raising functions and to enable event donors to specify the tax deductible portion(s) of event fees.

Note: When multi-entity is enabled and Fund Raising Item is checked, the Fund field lookup is populated with Org Codes whose type is Fund. When multi-entity is enabled and Fund Raising Item is cleared (not checked) the Entity field lookup is populated with all Org Codes.

Fund Raising functions will be marked as such in lists of event functions such as the Define an event window where functions are marked as "YES" or "NO" in the FR Func. column, and the Register a customer window where Fund Raising functions are marked with double asterisks (**).

Event Gift and Meeting Activities

When a registration is entered and saved, the system generates one Gift activity for each Fund Raising function included in the registration fees. When an event is closed, one Meeting activity is created.

Note:

Event registration fees applied to Fund Raising items qualify for appropriate donor club membership. For example, if a registrant's fees include $111 for a Fund Raising function and $33 for a non-Fund Raising function, the total registration cost is $144, and the total event gift is $111, because that is the portion of the registration fee that is marked as Fund Raising.

Note:

Gift activities and donor club memberships are only generated for customers who initiate their event participation with an event registration. For example, if a customer first registers for an event and Fund Raising functions and then orders a booth through Exhibition, iMIS will generate the appropriate Gift activity and donor club information. If a customer first orders a booth through Exhibition and then registers for a Fund Raising function through Events, iMIS will not generate a Gift activity and will not apply Fund Raising fees towards donor club membership.

The Events Register a customer window and the Exhibition Process orders window now display a message below the payment summary area listing the original source of an event-related customer order or registration.

The original source of an Event registration or Exhibition order is now displayed under the payment summaries in Events and Exhibition.
