Analyzing iMIS business performance with the iMIS Briefing Book

The easiest way to analyze your iMIS business performance is to use the predefined iMIS Analytics Briefing Book designed for the ProClarity Desktop Professional viewer. The iMIS Analytics Briefing Book gives you instant access to many useful views into your iMIS data.

If the predefined iMIS Analytics Briefing Book does not provide iMIS business performance data that you would like to examine, you can also use ProClarity Desktop Professional to view the iMIS Analytics cubes directly, drilling down into any dimension you choose. See Viewing iMIS Analytics cubes for ad-hoc analysis.

Note: You must use the ProClarity Desktop Professional viewer for this procedure because the supplied iMIS Analytics Briefing Book is designed for use with ProClarity Desktop Professional. If you are using a different OLAP viewer, see your viewer's documentation for information on how to create a set of predefined views into the iMIS Analytics cubes. You can obtain a ProClarity Desktop Professional viewer by visiting the ProClarity website.

Scenario

In the following sample procedure, you are reviewing annual membership renewal rates for your organization. The default Briefing Book chart for Membership Renewal Rates shows membership dues and activity fees for your entire organization, but you are interested in examining the membership renewal rates for each chapter. You use the Dimensions Tool to change the rows of the chart to display the renewal rates for chapters instead of for the entire organization.
