Account Hierarchy for Inventory Adjustments

Since accounts can be defined on multiple windows for both Standard Inventory and Multiple Warehouses, account hierarchy determines which specific accounts are affected by inventory adjustments.

In determining account hierarchy, specific accounts take precedent over general accounts; accounts at the warehouse and product level supersede accounts at the category and system level. For example, if accounts are defined for a stock item at the product level, those accounts will be used when adjustments are posted. If no accounts are defined at the product level, iMIS will use the accounts defined at the category or system level.
