To delete a custom table

  1. Make sure all other users exit the iMIS system.
  2. Back up your data.
  3. Log into iMIS as the database owner: MANAGER!SA (Sybase: MANAGER!DBA)
  4. From Customers, select Set up module> General, and click Additional Windows to open the Customer Setup – Additional Windows window.
  5. Click Define Tables to open the User Defined Tables window.
  6. Select the table you want to delete from the Table Name drop-down list.
  7. Click Delete. iMIS prompts you to confirm the deletion.
  8. Click Yes to delete the table.
  9. Click Cancel to close the User Defined Tables window.
  10. Select Utilities> Table Analysis.
  11. Select the user-defined or custom table that was deleted. Click Drop Table.
  12. Click Yes when the confirmation message to drop the table displays. The Notes field displays the following message: Table does not exist on server. Although the table and the data within the data still exist, this information is no longer available.
  13. Exit iMIS immediately.
  14. Refresh the iMIS libraries by replacing the existing imismem.lbr and imisutil.lbr files with a clean copy of these files.

    Note: If you copy the library files from a CD, make sure to disable the Read only option.
