Manage customers window - Address area

Third Address Line

From Customers, select Manage customers, and find customer record

The tab names for this area will be displayed according to the prompts configured by your administrator.

The default tab corresponds to the Main address. The New tab will be displayed if your administrator has set up this option and your system privileges are sufficient.

Your administrator may decide to limit users' ability to insert into or edit the Address fields. In this case, these fields may be in display mode for some users.

Verify Addresses

(visible only if Accumail or QuickAddress Pro is installed) Used to manually verify an address against your address verification database.

Address 1

Used to specify the first line of the address.

Status

If your administrator has set this up, you can select the drop-down arrow on this field to select a bad address status to associate with the address.

Address 2

Used to specify the second line of the address.

Address 3

Used to specify the third line of the address.

City

Used to specify the city for the address.

State

Used to select the state for the address.

Zip

Used to specify the ZIP code or mailing code for the address. For U.S. addresses, use either the standard 5-digit code or the expanded ZIP+4 with the separating dash. To use the bar code feature, you will need to specify the expanded ZIP+4 code.

Preferred Mail

Indicates that this is the preferred mail address. This option can be enabled only for the Main, Second, and Third address tabs. Any New address tab that is created will not have this option and cannot be designated as the preferred mailing address.

The Main address is the default Preferred Mail address. If the address entered in the Main address tab is not the preferred mailing or preferred billing address, you will need to enable the correct option(s) for an address entered in either Second or Third address tabs.

Preferred Bill

Indicates that this is the preferred billing address. This option can be enabled only for the Main, Second, and Third address tabs. Any New address tab that is created will not have this option and cannot be designated as the preferred billing address.

The Main address is the default Preferred Mail or Preferred Bill address. If the address entered in the Main address tab is not the preferred mailing or preferred billing address, you will need to enable the correct option(s) for an address entered in either Second or Third address tabs.

Mail Code

If your administrator has setup Mail Code validation, this field enables you to select a mail code to associate with this address.

Your administrator can enable either single or multiple mail codes.The Mail Code field displays on the main address when the Single Mail Code option is enabled, or on all three primary address tabs when the Multiple Mail Codes option is enabled.

Country

Select the drop-down arrow on this field to select the customer's country. Your administrator can define values for this drop-down list.

Phone

Use this field to enter the customer's telephone number. This field holds a maximum of 25 characters.

Note: The customer telephone number does not flow down from company to individual records.

Fax

Use this field to enter the customer's fax number. This field holds a maximum of 25 characters.

Note: The customer telephone number does not flow down from company to individual records.

E-mail

Use this field to enter the customer's e-mail address, entered in the name@organization.com format.
