Overview
Setting up the iMIS Professional Referral module to enter and manage professional referrals involves the following multipart process:
- On the Billing Set up products window (from Billing, select Set up module> Products), you must set up a subscription-billing item (of type REFERRAL) in order to enroll your providers in the referral program.
- On the Customers Set up general lookup/validation window (from Customers, select Set up tables > General lookup/validation), you must create your referral tables (REFERRAL_AREA, and up to four additional tables) and enter your organization's preferences.
- Build a list of providers.
- Set the options available on the Referral Advanced Setup window.
- In the Customer Management module, establish any additional demographics user-defined fields you need for searching for referrals. See the Learning and Using iMIS Customer Management manual for information on creating demographic fields.
- (Optional) On the AR/Cash Set up product codes window, you can create a product code (such as SALES-REFERRAL_FEE) for your referral service sales item. This code must begin with SALES and must match the code named on the Referrals Set up module window (from Referrals, select Set up module).
