If you have enabled multi-entity in the AR/Cash setup, you can use different entities for different functions of the same event. When you hold an event that has both fundraising and non-fundraising components, you can track the income from these components separately, and you can issue registrant receipts that separate donations from other registration fees for tax purposes.
Note: Non-fundraising functions can be assigned any entity, fundraising functions can only be assigned entities for which the Is Fund checkbox has been checked in System Setup.
