In RFM Analytics

  1. Write the RFM population query that defines everyone who will receive the marketing effort.
  2. Write the RFM transaction query that defines which transactions will be ranked by RFM.
  3. Create the RFM process engine for ranking records. Attach the population and transaction queries to the process engine and choose automatic or manual ranking.
  4. Run RFM Analytics.
  5. Write queries against the RFM results that define the individual R-F-M combinations.

In Segmentation

  1. Create the job.
  2. Create the segments (one for each combination of RFM rank).
  3. Populate the segments.

In Campaign Management

  1. Create the process engines that will build the output methods.
  2. Create the inserts and attach process engines where applicable.
  3. Set up the campaign hierarchy, assigning one source code per segment.
  4. Attach the segments/inserts to the source codes.
  5. Generate the output.
