Canceling an Exposition

When you cancel an exposition, iMIS automatically reverses the accounting entries that were created during order processing. The income accounts are debited and Accounts Receivable is credited. All open receivable balances for unpaid orders are closed (brought to zero balance). For exhibitors who paid, the reversed entry results in open credits. This credit can either be refunded or applied to other purchases or exposition orders. If product orders exist, they are purged.

If Delete Exposition Definition on Close is enabled on the Expo System Options window (from Exposition, select Set up module, and click Options), the exposition definition is deleted when you cancel the exposition. If the option is not enabled, the exposition you are canceling displays on the Set up an exposition window with a status of X.

Canceling an exposition is irreversible. Regardless of whether the Delete Exposition Definition on Close option is enabled, the product detail is deleted once the exposition is canceled.
