You can update the report summaries manually on an as-needed basis, or, if you are using Microsoft SQL Server to host your iMIS database, you can configure SQL Server to run the updates automatically.
If you want to run updates automatically, you must enable the SQL Server Agent ASI Update Fundraising Views job that is installed when you install or upgrade to iMIS version 10.6. The job is preconfigured to run at 2:00 AM daily once it is enabled, but you can change the schedule to fit your business needs.
Note: Avoid running updates during hours when iMIS usage is heavy to avoid impacting performance.
Before you begin
iMIS version 10.6 must be installed.
To manually update the Fund Raising summaries
iMIS finds and manipulates Fund Raising data collected since the last time the tables were updated and stores calculation results in the summary tables.
To enable automatic update of the Fund Raising summaries
The Enterprise Manager window opens.
The details pane displays the scheduled jobs on the local default instance of SQL Server on the iMIS Analytics host.
The ASI Update Fundraising Views dialog appears.
The job is now enabled to run daily at 2:00 AM. If you need to run the updates on a different schedule:
The Edit Job Schedule dialog appears.
The Edit Recurring Job Schedule dialog appears, displaying the current schedule for the ASI Update Fundraising Views job.
Note: After you enable the ASI Update Fundraising Views job, make sure that SQL Server Agent is configured to start whenever the operating system restarts.
To enable SQL Server Agent to autostart after the operating system restarts
The Enterprise Manager window opens.
